Rogério Couto tem como estilos de sua preferência o jazz, fusion, bossa nova e samba. Nascido em 1967 no Rio de Janeiro, vive desde 1974 em Curitiba - PR, cidade onde iniciou seu aprendizado musical em 1987. Em Curitiba estudou no Conservatório de Música Villa Lobos. No Rio de Janeiro estudou na Musiarte, CIGAM e Universidade Estácio de Sá e em Los Angeles (USA) estudou no Musicians Institute (Guitar Institute of Technology - GIT).
