Atualmente atua como Supervisor Educacional das Cordas Dedilhadas do Projeto Guri na Regional Ribeirão Preto. Leciona viola caipira a cerca de 17 anos em aulas particulares e coletivas. Lecionou viola caipira e violão em cursos de extensão na USP. É bacharel em viola caipira e licenciado em música pela USP de Ribeirão Preto, onde atuou como pesquisador com a obra do mestre violeiro Gedeão da Viola, dentro de uma abordagem metodológica para o ensino do instrumento. Foi professor de vila caipira no Projeto Guri durante 8 anos. Atualmente é professor de viola caipira no Projeto Kabuki.
