Graduado em Música pelo Ipa. Estudou Teoria e Percepção musical e Violão Erudito no Instituto de Belas Artes/UFRGS. Em 1994 estudou guitarra rock com Eduardo Martinez (atual Hangar). Em 1996 aulas com o guitarrista Ciro Moreau (harmonia, improvisação). Em 2014 aulas com o guitarrista Julio "Chumbinho" Herrlein (chordmelody, harmonia, improvisação e linguagem jazz tradicional). Desde então vem se dedicando ao estudo de jazz fusion e tradicional focado em harmonia, improvisação e fraseados. Também toca e ensina sitar indiano e estuda Música Clássica Indiana (Hidustani
