* 1984-1987 – Foi autodidata onde aprendeu a tocar guitarra e violão; * 1987 – Iniciou os estudos de guitarra e teoria no conservatório Martins Pena localizado no bairro da Penha em São Paulo; * 1988 – Estudou guitarra com o professor Heraldo Dumonte, renomado guitarrista da MPB que já tocou com importantes artistas como: Elis Regina, Maria Betânia entre outros; * 1989-1990 – Estudo na Casa de Cultura do Itaim Paulista; violão erudito/clássico, guitarra e harmonia, tendo como instrutor o maestro Zito; * 1991-1992 – Estudou harmonia e arranjo com o maestro regente Julio Estater
