I reached for poison, but vodka remained
So I let it be, the taste unchanged

Decided to press forward, to rewrite the past
But the future I wanted, slipped from my grasp
The pages I penned won’t change anymore
The words sealed shut, the ink a closing door
One day she'll smile far from this pain
